2007 Total Lunar Eclipse

Submitted by jimwcoleman

This was a very special lunar eclipse for me as I had just finished building my observatory, which housed the 12-inch Meade LX90 on a permanent pier. This time, I set about getting some closeup photos of the moon during the event - something I had never been able to do before. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the eclipse!
