Jupiter - First pass

I shot hundreds of thousands of frames of Jupiter tonight. This is the result of the first 800/3500 frame set, processed with Registax. This was shot using a Celestron Skyris camera on an 8" Meade LX200R, using a 2x tele-extender. Nothing spectacular, but passable....

Well it's nice to see that you can actually see Jupiter, to many trees here. Nice shot Jim!

Thanks! I, too, have lots of trees, but Jupiter skims right over the top. Not so with Saturn... :(

I wasn't too happy with this image - I did much better last year. But the Pacific Northwest weather right now just isn't giving me many opportunities. Maybe when I retire and have more free time, but now, I have to hope for a clear sky in a very narrow window of opportunity ...
