2009 Venus Moon Conjunction

Conjunctions are always fun to see, and can be a great way to introduce friends and family to the wonders in the night sky. A conjunction is when two (or more) celestial objects appear very close to one another in the night sky. 

In this case, the planet Venus was very near the moon. It was a very cold, clear winter night and the sight was as incredible as the night was cold. Here are a few photos I got that night.
